I was in a similar position to you about this time last year. I had just arrived in Beijing, saw an advert in The Beijinger, and thought it might be fun to try something new. I got in touch with Beijing Playhouse, and ended up being involved in the Christmas show. It was a great experience - so do feel free to get in touch if you might be interested.
