Modern Sky Festival Begins Friday in Beijing Boonies

Modern Sky's 3-day Music Festival begins Friday with a mostly local lineup of acts that includes Tang Dynasty, Supermarket and Hedgehog, with scheduled spanning from 1.30pm to 10pm ... but it's in the deep southwestern suburbs of Beijing at the relatively obscure Changyang Binhe Park, so how does one get there? Luckily the event is near the Fangshan subway line, though it will take you a couple of hours and two line changes to get there from Sanlitun.

For the intrepid, here's how: Take Line 10 south to Liuliqiao (六里桥) station, and transfer to Line 9, again heading south. Get off at Guogongfen (郭公庄) station and transfer to the Fangshan Line heading south once again. The event is presumably near the Changyang (长阳) Station, though Modern Sky doesn't make much of an effort to show us on their event page. Tickets can be purchased online (Chinese language only) here.
