Beijing Pop Festival Line Up Announced

Last year we saw Supergrass and the leather-clad Sebastian Bach take to the stage (and also the pages of tbj’s closet freak) at Rock for China’s second annual Beijing Pop Festival. The line up for this year’s festival, which is set to take place over the weekend of September 8-9, has just been announced and it looks like this year’s festival is going to be quite a show.

Nine Inch Nails are headlining and they’ll be joined by a bunch of other big-name international acts such as Public Enemy – with all the original members (it’ll be interesting to see how Chuck D and Flavor Flav get on) - New York Dolls , Brett Anderson of Suede, and Marky Ramone, ex-drummer and last surviving member of The Ramones, who is set to play an all-Ramones set.

Chinese performers will include Xie Tianxiao, who recently wowed audiences with a guitar-smashing high-energy show at Star Live, and local bands Muma, Brain Failure, Thin Man and Joyside.
