Saturday is shaping up to be some night for Beijing's party-goers. First up on the bill is DJ Shortkut. The former West Coast DMC champ also has a Grammy and is the only DJ to ever have been member of the three most influential DJ crews to grace the decks - Invisibl Skratch Piklz, Beat Junkies and Triple Threat DJs - is at Bling. Tickets are RMB 50.

One member of staff here said that Shortkut and Cut Chemist's /Live at Future Primitive Sound Session is evidence enough of his talents. If the show is half as good as that then it will be a night to remember. Beijing's own DJ Wordy and his Hotpot have now moved to Club LA. This month he is joined by Kazey, all the way from Paris, and Lomang's return from NYC. It's gonna be the same as it ever was but with the added option of sitting out on the beach looking out onto the parking lot.

If you don't fancy hip-hop but you still want to throw down on the dance floor then there's another option. Funk Shui will allow to get down on the good foot with funk, soul, rare-groove, afrobeat and all of that caper all night long. Manning the decks will be DJs Pimp Daddy Suiki, Slide, Dan and Bite Size Buddha. All the fun happens at Yugong Yishan and it will cost you RMB 50.

Oh, there's some guy who's in the Wu Tang here as well and more DJs than you can shake a glowstick at down at White Rabbit.
