2009 Dec 11 The Killers are REALLY Coming in January [Price UPDATE]

We've been suspicious since somebody told us The Killers are coming. After all previous "unforeseen circumstances" and "commercial reasons", it seems the most reasonable reaction is getting ready for the disappointment. But this time it seems for sure - both Universal Music Group and Gehua Live Nation have confirmed that The Killers' concert at Workers' Gymnasium on Jan 26 has been approved by authorities. The show is also listed on The Killers' official website.

Ticket are priced at RMB 380, 580, 780 and 1,280, you can book it here or call 6585 5755 or 400 620 6006. Contact gehua-livenation03@hotmail.com for more information and further enquiries. Also see this report on China Music Radar.

It's a Tuesday night, but come on, it's The Killers.

The Killers...they're not a spectacular band. I mean, I'm sure people will look back in the future and say, "Yeah the Killers were...fine, their music was fine. Yeah...fine. *silence*"

  • Meet The Killers: Interview with Ronnie Vannucci

Back in November, when somebody told us The Killers are coming to town on Januaray 26, one of our editors sang, "Somebody told me, you're coming to Beijing, I don't believe it...", and we agreed with him despite his lack of singing ability. During the past few months, lots of people have been telling us it’s true and we still don’t quite believe it - even after we had this Q&A with the band’s drummer Ronnie Vannucci. But if you are the kind of person who has, you know, eyes, you've probably seen the show on billboards at bus stops, the big screen at The Village, and newsstands at restaurants & bars - it's all over the place.
