Weekend Live Music Roundup: White+, SUBS, Pianoman

Look carefully, it's White+, not White anymore. Due to Shen Jing the original 50% of White moving to London. Shouwang, the Beijing-based other half of White, has a new bandmate Wang Xu, the talented drummer from Gar. And that's how White became White+, which is more hard-dance oriented.

Just back from their national tour, SUBS are finally bringing their latest album, Queen of XXXXing Everything, to Beijing. After years of waiting, the band finally got out of their bad record deal with Martin Atkins, leaving these hard punk rockers with plenty of reasons to be angry. You can have a listen to the album here. Note the album release at Mao Livehouse, supported by other local rock stars from the underground scene, is on TONIGHT, not Saturday as originally advertised.

Similarly, Taiwan rockers GO Chic are playing at Mao on Saturday, not Friday as originally advertised.

Finally, the Pianoman aka Lorenzo Chetty & Band appears at the Butterfly Lounge over the weekend covering classic songs from the most famous piano playing singers such as Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel and Lionel Ritchie.
