Best of the Beijinger Gallery!

It’s been another big week on theBeijinger.com Gallery. While there has been nothing to quite match the artistic excellence of the Zeta Pole Dancing Comp a few week’s back, it’s still been a busy few weeks around town, with a charity quiz, club openings and parties at 798 Art Zone.

Last Sunday (December 5) quizmasters from around the city gathered at the Hard Rock Café to dole out the tough questions for a full house of quiz lovers at The Beijinger 2010 Charity Super Quiz. Around 30 teams took part, raising an impressive RMB 29,800 for Ping An Medical Foster Home. You can read more about the night here.

Competition among the quizmasters was fierce...

... and quiz attracted a diverse crowd, including a well known Beijing pizza personality.

At the sweatier end of town, The House relaunched at Gongti North Gate last Friday (December 3), with local techno crew Acupuncture Records providing the beats. The House got off to a bang with an opening weekend of packed dance floors upstairs and downstairs as crowds got down to techno, house and more.

Among the revelers was a local member of the Jesus and Mary Chain and Andy Warhol.

Finally, up at 798 Japanese DJ Taku Takahashi surprised the crowd with a set of relentlessly upbeat melodic house at o2 Culture's Cosmo 2+1 party at the 798 art zone on Saturday, November 27. Local DJs included Patrick Yu, Yang Bing, Donald Summer, Eddie Lv, Maxboy and Zhiqi, while the Beijinger's chillout stage offered party people room to take a breather.
