2011 Reader Bar & Club Awards: Happy Hour/Late Night/Food

Eat, drink, and be merry late into the night. You want to do it, but where do you go? Here are Beijing’s picks for best bar food, happy hour and late-night drinking as decided by you in our Reader Bar & Club Awards.

Bar Food
Best
Blue Frog. It’s all about the burgers. While you’re at it, enjoy their great happy hour (see below).
Outstanding
The Stumble Inn. Serving up some of the city’s best Irish pub grub.
Lush.
Still a favorite with the Wudaokou student crowd after all these years, Lush is a winner with its great sandwiches and breakfasts. Editors Pick
Park Side Bar & Grill. Falls at the higher end of bar food in Beijing, with hearty meals for the whole family.

Happy Hour
Best
Blue Frog. Daily 4-8pm. It’s all about the great happy hour. While you’re at it, enjoy their burgers (see above).
Outstanding
The Den. Daily 5-10pm. Beijing’s latest happy hour extends right up until 10pm, so you can enjoy good discounts on drinks and half-price pizza way after most happy hours have ended.
The Stumble Inn. Daily 3-9pm, all day Monday. All day Monday? That's right, Stumble Inn's happy hour starts the week as they mean you to go on.
Editors Pick
Union Bar & Grille. Daily 4-8pm. Manager Andy Bright is one of the top bartenders in town, even if our readers voted for others in that category. Stop by during Union's popular happy hour for one of the cheapest pints of Guinness in town - and those always-welcome chips.

Late-Night Drinks
Best
First Floor. Second only to The Den in terms of all-hours drinking, First Floor lets you go on until the sun comes up.
Outstanding
The Den. The 24-hour pub where the party never has to stop.
Fubar. A quiet cave to retreat to at the end of the night.
Editors Pick
The Den. Because we've woken up here at least once.
