The Beijinger Burger Cup: Voting Now Open To Decide Beijing's Best Burger

Good afternoon, burger fans. We're happy to inform you that The Beijinger Burger Cup is now underway. What does that mean? It means that we're opening up the floor to you to decide what the best burger in the city is. We've taken the winners (and losers, in case you disagreed) of our recent Burger Wars series and pitted them - and eight wildcards that Tom didn't get a chance to eat before he had to go to meat rehab - against each other to see who will win the Golden Burger come the end of the month.

The knockout tournament is live now, starting with Round One. You can dive straight in to the vote below, or you can read more about the tournament format and the matchups beneath that. Voting for The Beijinger Burger Cup Round One closes on Thursday, August 11.

The Competition
We took the 12 winners of our Burger Wars series and seeded them so they could not meet another winner in Round One of The Beijinger Burger Cup. We then added the 12 losers and another eight wildcards into the mix to make an initial batch of 32 burgers. The first round will leave 16 burgers facing off against each other, then there will be eight remaining, then a semi-final before a final matchup sees you decide which is the best burger in town.

Lol

I can tell you right now that you needn't worry too much about giving La Bamba the shaft. It's an OK Mexican place in Wudaokou that's serviceable, and not for the burgers. I say go ahead and give 1F the love you think it deserves.

Been to Burgers & Beer a few times since it's close to my compound in the central villa district. As a burger lover, I truly enjoy the wide selections of burgers in different but authentic flavors. Also, the restaurant features many premium beers, especially Belgian beers! It's a great place to hang out with friends and have a great meal with family. Of course, the restaurant is relatively new so still need to improve the consistency of the production and service. Overall, highly recommend!

Yesterday at Lily's. I saw Joe and an American guy were trying out a Stuffed Burger they made while discussing the recipe! I personally really like Joe's Pulled Pork Burger. But it might be topped by the Stuffed Burger!

New Burgers and Beer open two month a go ,I love their burgers ,have been 3 times .not only burger they have more then 60 beers as well ,Great love their big brother call

This is weird. Lush vs Maison Boulud? Really??

I wanted to vote for the burgers at 1F because they were overlooked by Time Out

but I can't do that in all honesty because I have never even heard of La Bamba.

Sorry but I don't think this works at all.

In order to vote properly, it is important to know that The Box has recently experienced a hostile takeover by the Chinese management who booted out the Canadian owner in the same manner as Danger Doyles and Kros Nest. DO NOT VOTE FOR OR GIVE ANY PATRONAGE TO THE BOX!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT SUPPORT CHINESE THIEVES STEALING FOREIGN INNOVATION AND CULTURE!!!!!!!!!!!

Once again, history repeats itself.
