2011 Aug 18 A Taste of Temple: Sampling Dinner on Monday

The hype is building surrounding Temple Restaurant Beijing (or TRB, as they seem to have taken to referring it as). Headed up by former Maison Boulud general manager Ignace Lecleir, the new restaurant-boutique hotel-bar-gallery project will be opening in the coming months northeast of the Forbidden City. Temple is already taking bookings for private events, and they're hosting a tasting dinner at Vietnamese restaurant Susu on Monday evening (August 22) to give eager diners a sneak peek at what they have to offer.
The dinner isn't cheap, although wines are included in the RMB 550 asking price. The menu will include: seafood tartare with cauliflower veloute; foie gras with sea lettuce and lobster; salmon confit with risotto nero; ballotine of suckling pig with caramelized apple compote; and salted caramel tart.
Once again, the dinner costs RMB 550 per person and starts with drinks at 6.30pm. If you're interested in going along, email meet@temple-restaurant.com to reserve a place.
