Capital Bites: Flo Open March 19, Mercante, Middle 8th in Sanlitun Village, and Adios Amigo

Here's all the latest dining news from the Chinese capital, with updates on Brasserie Flo opening on Xiaoyun Lu, an interesting new Italian restaurant in the hutongs, and one or two closures to report.

Brasserie Flo will open at 18 Xiaoyun Lu on March 19.

There's a new Italian restaurant called Mercante in a siheyuan on Fangzhuan Hutong - a colleague tells me it's very good indeed.

Malaysian restaurant Little Nyonya is opening above Jenny Lou's on Laiguangying Donglu on March 22.

A huge new branch of Middle 8th has opened in Sanlitun Village South, in the space directly above Hatsune and Element Fresh. Go up via the elevator just opposite Hatsune's entrance.

Mexican restaurant Amigo has closed on Gulou Dongdajie.

Shake 'Em Buns has closed in China Central Place.

Finally, the voting is now closed in our 2012 Reader Restaurant Awards, but you'll have to wait until Monday to find out the results. We'll be revealing all on the blog that day, so stick with us.

CORRECTION

Little Nyonya is not opening in the Vantone Center, as this post originally claimed, but on Laiguangying Donglu in Shunyi.

Also, the post initially mistakenly referred to Little Nyonya as "Nyonya Kitchen" - Nyonya Kitchen is a completely different restaurant.

The post has been edited to reflect both of the above corrections. Apologies for any confusion.
