Chi Fan For Charity: Supporting the Little Flower Projects

Chi Fan for Charity is back in Beijing on November 10 where diners will get to indulge in three-course meals at some of the city's best restaurants while supporting two worthwhile causes. One of this year's beneficiaries is Little Flower Projects which provides specialized care to abandoned infants and nurtures the growth and education of older disabled orphans.

Could you survive without charitable donations raised from events like these?
We get great support from big charitable foundations, a few companies and a LOT of personal donors. Also, a little business run by the founder’s wife can cover all overhead costs. So we could survive, but we would definitely be much smaller and we would not be able to help as many children. Chifan For Charity not only donates a very generous amount of money, but also helps us spread the word. Another great benefit is the great reputation of Chifan for Charity. It became a very well known that people trust. We feel proud to be associated with them. We win a lot of credibility through them which is really important in the charity world.

How does it make you feel that people run events like this?
Kudos to people who run events like that! It involves a lot of hard work, time, personal sacrifices and outstanding commitment. These people spend their free time and lots of energy to organize an event like this. We are incredibly thankful that these people are out there and put such great efforts into helping others in need.

What will you do with the money that you receive from this year's CFFC?
We haven’t finalized the use of the money with the CFFC board yet, but we might use it for the funding of one baby room for a whole year.

Do you have a message for the people of Beijing?
“Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something.”

Join the Chifan For Charity dinner or come to the after party! It is a LOT of fun and you get to help a good cause!
