Full Circle: Line 10's Ring Complete Starting on Sunday

The Beijing subway is swelling yet again. This Sunday, May 5, Line 10 will be going full circle and the first seven stations of the new Line 14 will be open.

Line 10 will now be a whopping 45 subway stops, but there will also be an option to take the train along a shorter path, from Songjiazhuang station in the south to Chedaogou station in the northwest. This train will leave about every two minutes, while the full loop's train will take off every five minutes.

Line 14's trains will be longer and wider than the old subway train models, allowing for a capacity that's one-third larger.

While the new stations will make it more convenient for a lot more people to get around the city, this also means we have to change our Beijing Subway game board (see page 12 of our Games issue) to include more stops. It seems like we can barely keep up with the progress the city is making on the metro system, so if you play the game, just hope you don't end up in Bagou and have to get to Gongzhufen.
