Ladies and Gentlemen, There Will Be a Slight Delay. And One, And Two, And Three...

Passengers on a recent delayed flight from Beijing to Macau got a rare treat, and it wasn't extra peanuts.

On board were members of the Philadelphia Orchestra, who were heading from our fair city to the final concert of a two-week China tour in Macau, the 40th anniversary of their first China tour in 1973. When the captain announced that their flight would be delayed due to inclement weather, the orchestra decided a little music was in order, and not from their iPods.

Overhead compartments were popped open, out came the instruments, and after a brief introduction, the group broke into Dvorak's "American" String Quartet No. 12 Finale.

I wanna be on a delayed flight with Jack White on board.. or Johnette Napolitano

Wow. I'd take a flight delay for that experience any day.
