You Are What You Eat: Seeking a Dining Assistant

Do you love exploring the city to find new restaurants and dining options? Do you like the grubby alleyway dives as much as the high-end venues? If you have a way with words and never tire of talking about food, if so then we want you.

The Beijinger is looking to expand its dining coverage and is seeking a highly motivated Dining Assistant. This is a full-time position.

What you will do

  •     Pitch and write articles for the Beijinger magazine and TheBeijinger.com
  •     Conduct research for (and contribute reporting to) articles by other staff writers and editors
  •     Help audit and maintain our venue database
  •     Represent the Beijinger at F&B industry events
  •     Constantly seek new ways for the Beijinger to engage with its readers and the community at large

  •     Deep knowledge of the diversity of Chinese cuisine
  •     Passionate about self-improvement
  •     Playful, versatile and quick to learn

Desirable traits

  •     Blogging experience
  •     Active on social media (Weibo, Dianping, Facebook, etc.)
  •     Familiarity/proficiency with InDesign
  •     Photography skills
