Dining With a Twist: Aroma Revamps the Buffet Concept

The Ritz-Carlton's all-day dining restaurant Aroma has introduced a new semi-a la carte dining concept. Order a main course from their wide selection of imported meats and seafood (including Boston lobster, Norwegian salmon and Australian lamb) add a sauce, a starch and a veg, and get access to a buffet including cheeses, charcuterie and cooked-to-order Chinese dishes. A nice break from the usual pure buffet concept.

Dinner comes in at RMB 386 (exclusive of 15 percent service charge), with the option to add free-flow beer and wine for RMB 120. As is our wont, we were most impressed by the seafood section, the counter brimming with sashimi, shucked-on-the-spot oysters and half lobsters. For our mains we chose salmon and steak, and were impressed with the quality of the meat. Check out our photos from our visit below:
