Westlife's Shane Filan to Play Workers' Gymnasium on Sept 23

Shane Filan of Irish boyband Westlife, is preparing a pretty extensive tour of Asia, with five shows in the mainland set for September. Westlife formed in July 1998 and disbanded in June 2012. Originally signed by corporate-destroyer-of-all-musical-integrity Simon Cowell, Westlife sold over 45 million records worldwide, including 14 number one singles and 26 top ten songs in the UK charts during their 14 year career.

The former Westlife lead singer is coming out of a sticky bankruptcy ordeal following 2012's Irish property crash, where he invested in a handful of properties in his home town of Sligo and following the recession was left without the cash to develop these acquisitions.

He didn't let bankruptcy get him down for very long though and now he's back out on the road with his debut solo album You and Me. For those of you only interested in the classic Westlife tracks, Shane will be performing those numbers as well. The Beijing show is scheduled for September 23 at Workers' Gymnasium. Tickets are available through damai.cn.
