Taste Taiwan at Chynna, Hilton Wangfujing

The Hilton Wangfujing's Chinese restaurant, Chynna, is currently holding a Taiwanese food promotion. It seems their chef, Chef Jiang, went on a research trip to Taiwan and brought back a host of Taiwanese recipes, both street snacks and more fine dining style dishes. The menu is surprisingly keenly priced for a hotel restaurant, with the most expensive dish (wok-fried prawns) coming in at RMB 128 and the snack-type dishes all under RMB 70. We particularly enjoyed a lighter version of lurou fan (RMB 68, pictured above) and a plate of moreish pineapple pastries (RMB 55 for four).
