EAT: New Beijing Breakfast Options
Seems like a couple of places around town are keen to make breakfast the most important meal of the day.
First off, Gongti restaurant Tribe Organic has started serving breakfast each day from 8.30am. You can expect nutritious, organic choices from this ethically-minded restaurant (maybe kickstart your morning with a shot of their gut-friendly kombucha).
Across town, growing tired of buying expensive imported muesli, expat Klara Dlouha and good friend Anita Zhang decided to take the initiative and make their own. The result is Miss Muesli, selling pre-mixed and customizable muesli and granola online and from a small storefront south of Beixinqiao. We called by to try a few and particularly liked "Granny Granola", a rich, cinnamon-scented mix containing apples and pecans. You can also catch Miss Muesli at various upcoming Christmas bazaars around town.
Speaking of breakfasts, one of our favorite breakfast options is MOKA Bro's (read about our previous visit here). Maybe not as healthy as Tribe, but then again, it's not bikini season any more.
