Tonight: Michael Rother of NEU! to Rip a Gig at Hit FM

Quickly get on your laptops and sign up for this amazing free gig, brought to you by the folks over at Vice China. Krautrock pioneer Michael Rother is set to blow some minds with his electronic live set at Hit FM (3/F of Tango) tonight (Dec 11).

If you haven't previously experienced this important figure in experimental music, you have most likely heard of at least some if not all of the projects that he has been involved with in the past 40 something years, including NEU!, the earliest formations of Kraftwerk, Cluster and Harmonia. He even collaborated with Brian Eno on the Harmonia album Tracks & Traces.

It isn't every day that someone with this sort of historical musical lineage takes the Beijing stage, so we wouldn't be surprised with the free admission if this one fills up pretty quick. Just go here, and input your registration data to witness the surprise gig of the month, quite possibly the year.

Russian psych surf outfit Messer Chups, plus local freaks Heat Mark and Run Run Run will join in on the fun for a wild evening of explosive musical programming. For more info head over to the event listing here
