Do Your Bit for Charity this Sunday with Education First and Huiling

Do your bit for charity and have some fun this Sunday night at a charity night organised by Education First to raise money for Beijing Huiling Community Services for People with Learning Disabilities

The event includes a raffle, with prizes including cash vouchers for Paddy O'Shea's, The Brick, Plan B and Q Mex, and an auction of handicrafts made by students from Beijing Huiling. All proceeds  including a portion of drink sales, so bottoms up! will go to the charity.

A community-based, non-profit organization, Beijing Huiling was established in 2000 by Ms Meng Weina and Jane Pierini. It aims to create equal opportunities for people with learning disabilities and improve their and their families' quality of life through a range of activities and training opportunities. They also provide group homes for young people whose parents are unable to take care of them. Huiling has branches throughout China, including Guangzhou (the first branch), Tianjin, and Xi'an.

In addition to raising money, through the event Education First hope to encourage their teachers (and indeed anyone who wants to contribute) to volunteer with Beijing Huiling in the future.

The event takes place at Cangku bar on Baochao Hutong this Sunday March 1, starting 8.30pm.
