How to Catch the Shuttle to INTRO Music Festival May 1

INTRO, Beijing's largest electronic music festival gets going this afternoon in a godforsaken place you've probably never heard of -- Grand Epoch City in Xianghe -- that sits 50km outside of Chaoyang District.

That's about an hour-plus drive from Sanlitun and there's no public buses or subway that will get you there in any reasonable amount of time.

However, not to fear: shuttle buses are running today from 12:30pm to 3:30pm, leaving from the Beijing Language University East Gate and the Beijing Agricultural Exhibition Center West Gate.

This second option is particularly appealing as you can get there early and pop into the massive Art Beijing exhibition that's taking place May 1-3 before you board the bus.

Buses will bring you back between 9:30pm to 11:30pm and will drop everyone off at the Lantern Club at Worker's Stadium so you can catch the afterparty.

Tickets to the fest can be purchased on site for RMB 380 (cash only); the shuttle bus will set you back another RMB 40 round-trip (cash only as well; purchase them when you board the bus). The Lantern afterparty is RMB 50 for Intro ticket-holders; RMB 100 for others.
