EAT: Palms L.A. Kitchen Sanyuanqiao, Pebbles Courtyard, and Toast at The Orchid

Palms L.A. Kitchen's second location in Sanyuanqiao is now open daily for lunch and dinner following a big opening party this Saturday. Head over to enjoy their signature brand of fusion Korean-Mexican food.

Speaking of Mexican food, El Gran Bocado and Sand Pebbles have consolidated into one location on Wudaoying Hutong, which is now called Pebbles Courtyard. Follow their WeChat, pebbles_courtyard, to get RMB 80 off your first order. They also have a series of daily deals starting from June 1, including 30 percent off fajitas on Mondays, RMB 10 taco Tuesdays, and buy-one-get-one-free margaritas on Fridays.

Over on Chunxiu Lu, deli space Napa is closing until June 25, as the small team focuses on prepping their new sit-down restaurant space over at Park Avenue near Chaoyang Park south gate. We love their fresh and healthy organic salads, and we can't wait to see what else they come up with (we've heard tell of brunch dishes, kale chips, and frozen yogurt).

Finally, after years of serving up delicious breakfast to both hotel guests and, increasingly, local residents as well, The Orchid have decided formalize things with the launch of Toast, their breakfast and brunch restaurant (still operating out of the hotel). They'll be serving breakfast and brunch daily from 10.30am-2.30pm. Visit their website to check out the dishes on offer.

More notable dining events and promotions this week:

  • For the month of June, show up at Tube Station's new Wudaoying store wearing a mini skirt or shorts more than 20cm above your knee and get buy-one-get-one-free pizza by the slice. Note that they don't specify whether the deal applies to men or women ... so, in the name of equality, let's all go.
  • Pig out, Italian style, with free-flow pizza, antipasti, pasta, and red and white wine from Sicilian winery Incyon every Friday night at La Pizza Italian Buffet.
  • Spend Sunday French style with a glass of wine and traditional French style lunch at the Les Dimanches event organized by Wine Civilization at Qingping Huiguan.
