Taiwan Residents to Get Visa-Free Entry to Rest of China

Residents of Taiwan will soon be able enter the rest of China (excluding Hong Kong and Macau) with no entry permit requirements, Reuters reported on Sunday.

The move eliminates a big headache for the hundreds of thousands of people from Taiwan who work, live, or frequently visit cities like Beijing.

This is the latest in a series of new policies allowing easier to travel to China.

In November 2014, China and the US announced new ten-year visas for qualified citizens of the two countries, for business or tourism, and five-year visas for students. Canada and China followed suit in March 2015 with a similar plan.
