Teddy Bear Travel and New Flights from Beijing

Well this is one of the more interesting emails that arrived in our mailbox recently. Can't afford a summer holiday in France this year? No problem, you can send your teddy bear or other plush toy friend of choice to France with Peluche Travel, and they'll make sure she or he sees the sights  and they take the photos to prove it. Vineyards, the Eiffel Tower Teddy will see it all. To book a trip for your favorite inanimate object, learn more here.

We're seeing quite a few really low fares from the US to China for later in the summer and early autumn, some under USD 700 roundtrip, not including tax. Here's one from Chicago. More than one is available on American Airlines, which is a relative newcomer to China flights. Keep an eye on them if you have family or friends wanting to visit, we will too. Often these fares are so limited they are not possible to replicate.

Capital Airlines, which is an offshoot of Hainan Airlines, is going to start flying longer routes overseas, starting with ... Copenhagen. Copenhagen? Ok. They already fly to Amsterdam and Sydney from Beijing. They're buying a bunch of Airbus A330s to serve them.

Air China will fly from Beijing to Mumbai three times per week beginning October 25, underscoring increasing links between China and India.

You saw that the Mandarin Oriental is finally opening not one, but two hotels in Beijing in the next two years?
