Spot the Rosewood Beijing Chinese New Year Lion on City Streets for Charity, Until Jan 22

Until January 22, Rosewood Beijing's "Roar into New Year" will be on Beijing's roads; a Chinese New Year lion chauffeured around the city in a Mini Cooper to raise funds as well as awareness for Teach for China, a non-profit organization committed to ensuring that all Chinese children, no matter where they are born, enjoy access to an excellent education.

If you see the lion, take a picture of it and post it on Rosewood's Weibo Page using the hashtag #SpotRosewoodBeijingMini. Each post will earn Teach for China RMB 8 from the hotel. More details can be found on Weibo.

“This campaign is a fun way both to celebrate the Spring Festival and raise awareness and funds for Teach For China,” says Marc Brugger, managing director of Rosewood Beijing. “In the season’s spirit of giving, it’s the perfect time to take a moment – and post a snapshot! – so we can give support to Teach For China’s efforts to ensure that every child can reach his or her full potential through education.”

Teach For China seeks to eliminate educational inequity in China by enlisting promising future leaders from China and abroad. The organization recruits outstanding college graduates and following an intensive training program they are placed as full-time teachers in under-resourced schools in Yunnan and Guangdong provinces. 10/10. Did not disappoint. Would dance with again.

I can imagine the Mini Cooper getting caught up at a busy intersection during rush hour traffic, then the lion jumps out of the Mini Cooper and starts jumping on the hoods of other vehicles.
