Total revenue reached RMB 4.92 billion during the week, up just under three percent over the same holiday period in 2015.

The total number of tourists also grew slightly, a 1.9 percent increase and a total of 9.19 million visitors.

Beijing's temples and temple fairs, along with the Forbidden City and Great Wall, were among the most popular destinations, as were nearby ski resorts, the commission reported.
