Ramadan in Beijing: Timings and Great Iftar Deal at Caravan

Ramadan, a month of fasting to commemorate the first revelation of the Quran to Muhammad according to the Islamic belief, is celebrated by Muslims throughout the world. It happens in the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, and falls between June 6 and July 5 this year. Muslims fast between sunrise and sunset, traditionally breaking their fast with dates as this believed to be part of the Prophet's message.

To find out more about the times of the Saher and Iftar in Beijing, check the schedule below detailing times throughout the entire duration of Ramadan, as provided by the Islamic Association of Beijing.

To celebrate, Caravan is putting up a special Moroccan-style Iftar deal. With harrira (Moroccan lentil and chick pea soup), dates and figs, boiled eggs, baghrir (traditional sweet pancakes), juice, and a choice of mint tea or coffee for only RMB 85 every night of Ramadan.

Beijing is an international city, that's what makes it great. The more we can do to highlight that, the more we hope people will enjoy the diversity and variety of people and customs practiced here.
