This Week in Health and Fitness: Lululemon Beijing Store Opening, Glo Kitchen and Fitness Christmas Party

This Week in Health and Fitness brings you the best fitness and health goings on around town so you can live your #bestlife.

Here at This Week in Health and Fitness we're pretty darn excited that Lululemon are finally opening a store in Beijing. Although the brand has been making in-roads into the Beijing market over the past year or so, with a showroom in Taikoo Li North, this will be their first proper store in the capital. They are celebrating with a huge event on December 17 entitled "The Space Between." Color us intrigued. The event will be led by Gloria Latham, director of yoga teacher training at Semperviva International College of Yoga and one of only seven Lululemon Global Yoga Ambassadors. Go here to find out more and register for the event (we recommend registering early as the event is bound to be popular).

Speaking of yoga, as we often do, starting this Sunday, December 11, Glo Kitchen and Fitness are launching a "Yoga for Athletes" series, held every Sunday at 4pm. Lasting 60 minutes, Yoga for Athletes is designed to stretch, restore, and mobilize your body for increased athletic performance. In their words: "Each class features intelligent sequencing, effective strengthening and some sort of “intense” stretching, good music, humor, and maybe even the occasional “post savasana” beer." Example sessions include Shoulder Chest and Wrist Care for Cyclists and IT Band and Side Body Release for Runners etc. The first class is free, after which it's RMB 120 a time or RMB 800 for a block of eight classes.

Also this Sunday, Glo fans will want to go along to their Christmas Party at 4.30pm, featuring a WOD followed by a Christmas set dinner. The party is priced at RMB 88 per person, and there will be gifts and discounts available, plus specials for existing Glo members.
