EAT: London Long Table at Hatchery, Pasta Weekend at Ramo, Cartoccio at Mimi e Coco for Final Cartoccio Day

In this week's foodie news, Hatchery and the Distillery come together February 23-26 to bring you London Long Table by the Australian Chef Simone Thompson.

Thompson herself is passionate about all things pickled, fermented, baked, crisped, and cured, and this is what she'll be bringing the lucky few joining on any of the days (see the full menu above). The hooch is provided by David Putney of The Distillery by Capital Spirits, and Hatchery have created a number of special gin-based cocktails to complement the menu.

To see the sittings and get your tickets (RMB 350 includes the multiple course dinner paired with bespoke gin), click here. Check out the event listing for more information.

Also happening this weekend, Fangjia favorite Ramo celebrates a new addition to their menu: fresh homemade pasta dishes. Head over to try them during their two-for-one pasta promotion on both Saturday, February 25 and Sunday, February 26 from 10am to 11pm. Prices are reasonable at RMB 48 for a spicy pasta all'arrabbiata, or RMB 68 for a classic pomodoro e basilico with beef meatballs.

Next door at Ramo's sister bar Mimi e Coco, Chef Peppe of Cartoccio, which had until now shared el Nido's space, is preparing to say goodbye to Fangjia with a full day of Italian street food favorites (think finger-lickin'-good beef ragu arancini and croquettes) on February 25, 4pm till late. With any luck it won't be the last that we see of Cartoccio though as the team is on the prowl for a new venue. We do hope they find one quickly, because we'll miss those delicious deep-fried snacks.
