When compared to Wudaokou’s standard student bars, Jerry’s Bar comes as a shock to the system. One does not have to swim through a sea of students, teachers, and rampaging drunks to reach the bar fully clothed. Nor does one have to fear that female friends will not make it through the throngs unscathed.

Chamber has its eye on stealing Propaganda’s crown as Wudaokou’s king of underground dance clubs. Subterranean to Tsinghua’s South Gate, Chamber is literally a chamber – small and low-roofed. Don’t be fooled: This joint comes packing.

If you liked ChinaDoll the way it was, you’ll be happy to know that its recent renovation was more tummy tuck than facelift. It’s a smaller venue now, comprising just the lounge and the VIP room, but with clever spacing they have created an ample dance floor without sacrificing seating or that “club” feeling.
