Review of Amcare Women's and Children's Hospital
We got a quote of a particular treatment to be done and the fees were extraordinarily expensive.
Absolutely crazy but we found their attitude to be not in sync with the prices they were offering and after the first visit with the doctor
called off further procedure.
Beijing United hospitals has been having good doctors and because of this reputation I went here,but guess the
smiling friendly feeling of Beijing United is missing in this establishment.

Review of Amcare Women's and Children's Hospital
A friend of mine had to go there last year for surgery. It was pretty highly recommended, so we all thought it would be good. All of us have had worse medical experiences in China. But there were still problems like:
1. Very poor air conditioning. My friend fainted the first time she tried to get up after the surgery, in large part because of the heat.
2. No communication between the doctor and the nurses. Her ultimate recovery was delayed because of this.
3. The costs were shamelessly padded, and they openly tried to manipulate the situation so she would leave after 12noon, instead of the morning as promised. This way they could add on another day's charge. The costs may have been less than that of Beijing United or SOS, but they don't tell you about things like the "room cleaning charge." We looked at how long it took them to clean (5 minutes to take out the trash, do a cursory sweep and spray down the bathroom with water) and the cost and figured out they were being charged about 500RMB an hour for this "service."
My ultimate recommendation? If you really want to save money, go to a good local hospital. If you want a really good, clean, comfortable private experience don't play around with Amcare. Just bite the bullet and got to BU or SOS.

Review of Amcare Women's and Children's Hospital
Amcare hospital is a nice hospital to go to for all things baby. This hospital was recommended to us by several friends for care for our child. We have never had a problem with any of the doctors, and it is easy to find someone who speaks English - they have a button that they wear that says they speak English.
Prices are mid range, expect to spend about 130 RMB for a checkup with a general doctor.
When you make an appointment, they will give you a call the day before to remind you, and then when you show up, the wait to see the doctor is quite short. Even when we have shown up half hour early, they got us in to see a doctor right away. However, I've heard that wait times on the weekends are longer.
They also have good options for immunizations, and if you would like to follow your home country's schedule, they have no problem with that.
The only frustrating thing is that they make you see a doctor before your child can get a shot, even if the last checkup was only a month ago. The doctor also has to tell you which shot you are supposed to receive that day, even though they told you last time you were there.
