Thank you Biteapitta
Good food and good service and good prices here. Everything I've had here has been quite good, not spectacularly amazing, but really quite good. The hummus and falafel are always tasty.

One of the Best Non-Chinese Places in the City
I love this place. The food is fantastic, the value great, and the waitstaff attentive. The sandwiches are my favorite thing and the combo with fries and a drink for RMB 50 is a great deal. I also always get some hummus and falafel to go because they are so good!

Some of the best non-Chinese, reasonably-priced food in Beijing!
The food is terrific, and in particular the sandwiches. You really get value for the cost--anywhere else in the Sanlitun area half-decent non-Chinese food will cost you an arm and a leg, but not here. 20-25 kuai per sandwich and 20 kuai for *amazing* fries (I really like their slightly larger and limpy fries, not like the thin ones fried to a crisp you most everywhere in BJ).
I regularly head here for takeout, however, because I am not a fan of most the servers or the restaurant space. It's extremely clean to be sure (this is a huge plus in Beijing) but it's just always so noisy and can get cramped (the ceiling is low and the windows small), sometimes making it difficult to have a relaxing dinner conversation... now the service. First of all, the manager guy and owner are FANTASTIC. Love them. But on more than one occasion I've had an inattentive or just plain rude waiter. One time I ordered water and the waiter quickly said something back to me I didn't quite catch. Having studied Chinese three years and never switching into English at restaurants in BJ these days, I simply replied "不好意思--再说一次...?" I am not kidding you he sighed and said in English "You said you wanted water and I asked you if you wanted water with gas in it or not." I was so taken off-guard I stammered back "我要开水" and he, in front of, rolled his eyes and walked away. I think I'll keep doing the takeout and drink my own water at home.

Great Food; Great Value
Good dining experiences everytime; the shwarma is the best I've had in Beijing, and comparable to the real deal. The humous is fine and a safe choice for most people, but recommend people not familiar with Arabic cuisine to try out the Baba Ganoush. Two regular sized people can dine for under 100RMB, which is great value for the quality and taste. Highly recommended.

A Haven for those craving Mediterranean, good veggie food and healthy eats!
My title basically says it all, but the quality of the food here is very good and has a taste to match. It's really convenient for pick-up and nice for eating in. Two thumbs way up!

For a great, quick meal
Whenever i'm in Sanlitun and need something to eat, I make sure to stop here. The service has always been quick and even when there have been large parties, they are willing to accommodate a small table. I've tried many of the things on the menu and have not been disappointed.

Great Food, Good service, mamahuhu atmosphere
The traditional hummus was amazing, the falafel was grand, and the baklava had a distinct taste, though different, it was quite good. The watermelon fresca martini wasn't spectacular, but it was decorated with a large piece of watermelon, so I give them props for that. My friends tried the baba ganoush, the mozzarella, tomato, pesto pita panini(I had a bite, though not really greek, it was divine anyway), and the mushroom hummus and gave a thumbs up on them all. However, the mushroom hummus was just traditional hummus with some cooked mushrooms stuck in the middle, though tasty, it wasn't what I expected (like ground mushroom in the hummus). Now the pita bread, while definitely still curbing my craving, wasn't amazing. It was pocket pita bread, fluffy, but not the traditional heavy pita bread I was hoping for. Though they did warm every piece before serving it, so that was nice. On a downside they didn't have dolmas, but on the other hand they had quite a lot of other things to try.
As far as the atmosphere goes, I felt like I was eating at a juice bar or bistro of some sort, and not a Greek/mediteranian place. It was really clean and bright though with modern decor. I'd say it's a good place for lunch or a casual dinner with friends, but definitely not a date spot. Price wise it wasn't too bad. The falafel and hummus sandwich was only RMB28. That plus hummus and pita and baklava, I'm still SO full three hours later. For three of us at dinner, with three appetizers, three entrees, three drinks, extra pita bread and one desert, it was a total of RMB268.
The service was pretty good, they spoke pretty decent English and they take foreign credit cards. Oh and it's quite easy to find. Go between American Apparel and the Subway Sandwich place next to China doll. When you hit the bar alley it'll be on the corner on your left, upstairs above the Kebab place but below Blu Bar.
Overall I'd definitely go back and I think you should give it a try.

The best hummus in town!
We have tried different places in Beijing for hummus but by far Biteapitta is the place to be! We completely agree with other reviews that it's really too bad about the location (Sanlitun Bar Street) and the interior (lack of decoration and too well-lit). It's definitelty not a place for a romantic evening...
Having said that, it's more than worth a visit for its food. Not just the hummus, but also the labaneh is superb. The pita is freshly baked and doesn't have the sweet taste that we dislike about the other pita we've tried in Beijing. We haven't tried the meat yet (- every time we decide to order more pita and hummus...) so we can't say much about that.
One last note: the staff is friendly and helpful. Some even speak a little Hebrew - and of not, the owners are usually around for questions and advice!

Delicious Food. Only Lacking in Atmosphere
After my first time at Biteapitta, I was in love! They're falafel is hot, savory and served in a big pitta that can satisfy any of those pre or post going out hunger pains. The humus is great thanks in part to both authentic cooks and Chinese cucumbers. On top of that their staff is polite and not at all clueless, once I was even served by the owner who is a very friendly guy.
My only issue with Biteapitta is that it lacks the cozy atmosphere that I've come to associate with middle eastern restaurants and many other restaurants here in Beijing. It feels somewhat cafeteria like and sterile. They have numerous hookahs (or shishas) but they only have one flavor: apple. This place could really flourish with some redecoration and some more flavors of shisha.
Prices are fair considering portion size (one pitta will do you!), location (if you don't know that Sanlitun's an expensive place by now...) and the fact that it is authentic Middle Eastern food.
Biteapitta gave me a good bite of authentic middle eastern food in Beijing and if thats what you're looking for than go no further!

Excellent food.
I have been to Biteapitta many times, the food never disappoints. Everything is as it should be, the only gripe would be the waitstaff is occasionally blind or clueless and the air conditioning needs to be improved. If not for the Ac not being strong enough, this place would be 5 stars in my book.

Would highly recommend
After hearing some great things from friends about this little restaurant on Sanlitun's bar street, I decided to give it a go. The staff was friendly and the prices seemed reasonable - I had a Chicken Schnitzel Pita for RMB 28. It was decently sized and tasted great. Haven't yet tried the hummus so can't comment on it, but I'll definitely be going back.

Great food, great value
Bitea has a range of sandwiches that all hit it on the mark. Some favorites are their falafel or their hummus and falafel. Their hummus is smooth and tasty and the falafel is full of flavor. Topped with chopped vegetables and tzatziki sauce, the sandwiches are always a perfect bite for lunch or a light dinner. Their sandwich sets are also a great deal with fries and a drink, the shwarma sandwich is good and the meat is done perfectly. With sandwiches from 20+ to sets around 50 kuai this place is one of the best in beijing for amazing food at a great deal. Additionally, the service is always great and the manager is very friendly, he will often stop and chat if around. The one thing that I haven't enjoyed terribly here is the hookah. Not as smooth as other places and I think it only comes in apple and maybe one other flavor. It is much cheaper than rumi or 1001, maybe just not as good.

Great food, no ambiance
I really like their hummus and pitta. I used to like the earlier location near Laitai better because it had more character. This place is more stark and soul less but the food is great. I only wish they had free home delivery to Sanlitun atleast. But I will go there again and again for the hummus and falafel and the smiling staff. :D

Sanlitun location a great move
I've always liked this spot, but ever since its moved to Sanlitun I find myself going far more than I used to, it's much more convenient than the old ladies street location. You don't expect too much when you enter the grungy downstairs of Tongli, but when you get up to the 2nd floor and open the door, you're greeted by a bright, colorful interior and food that fits the environment. Lots of fresh ingredients, lighter tastes, but decent sized portions keep me coming back.

Hummus is great!
Hummus is the reason to go to Biteapitta. They're generous servings of all kinds of hummus (I usually just go with tahini) are cheap (25 kuai) and always dependable. It's much better than something you'd get in a supermarket, and you can't even get that in Beijing. The falafel and shwarma selection is also very good, but I think the hummus is better than the sandwiches--the sandwiches tended to be a little dry both times I've gone and they aren't that big either. The decor is very nice and clean, and the waiters are very nice. One of the waiters has, somehow, managed to learn a little Hebrew as well, which is impressive if a little weird. The portions aren't as big as you'd think for the non-hummus items, so if you go I'd recommend an appetizer of Hummus and a sandwich. Also, the non-sandwich items like the Tabbouleh salad were not nearly as good as the rest of the menu. If you mostly hummus and maybe a sandwich, though, this place will definitely satisfy your middle eastern cravings.

The dark times are gone ....
When Biteapitta opened up I found out about it very quickly. Became a favorite of myself and a good friend. Even though neither of us worked or lived near Ladies Street we would often go for a meal at Biteapitta. The place has great service and excellent value for money, both good things. But the best thing about Biteapitta is the FOOD. I love it. Everything I've tried has been good. Major winners have been the baked fish, "burger" and steak, not because they are exceptional but because they come with 2 sides. The sides are mind bogglingly delicious, the spinach cakes, chips, cabbage etc are all delicious but the show stealer is the rice. Made with lentils and spices it is so f'ing good. I'm not exaggerating, when ladies street got chaied I was in mourning. I really wanted some of that delicious rice but could not find a replacement anywhere. When it opened up in Sanlitun it was like the end of the dark ages. I went five times in the first week I think. I'm happy it is so conveniently located now, everyone should try this place!!!!

Most enjoyable
I think the food is good and the set options reasonably priced. Even better if you can order a few dishes and share with friends.
