Colores Cafe and Bar 彩咖啡

Another cafe-bar-by-numbers with exciting drinks like Tsingtao and Heineken, and an uninspired selection of sandwiches. While sadly generic, Colores is actually more appealing than some of its kin. The tiny bar is a log fire short of being among Beijing’s coziest, and you can watch the Gulou traffic amble past as you drink. As long as your tastes are simple, Colores is fine for a relaxing drink.

Cosy place but limited menu offerings.

I walk past this place everyday, my eyes pausing a moment on their well designed colourful chalk board like displays out the front.
Today, I decided to go in and see what else was on the menu.

They offer simple sounding sandwiches, pastas and what looks like Japanese curry. Actually, I thought there was a definite 'Japanese take on Western' vibe going on here. It was very similar to those I have dined in in Japan.

Sadly, they offered only one meat free option, which was some sort of unappealing sandwich, so I passed on eating here.

Would like to see more variation on the menu, but can't honestly make any comment on the state of food at the moment.

Looks like a cozy place to bring your laptop and catch up with the outside world.

But, you won't catch me back here...sorry, veggie options matter!
