Danger Doyle's
Decorated in the green hues and mahogany of classic sports bars, this China View venue serves up what the fans demand. The abundance of multi-feed televisions, draft beers and food are as expected but there is also a DJ booth, roof terrace and pizza oven to entertain the less sporty.

User reviews of Danger Doyle's
No Danger and no Doyle
Like so many Irish knock off bars, the true recreation of the spirit of a bar comes from the publican. Sadly for DD, I guess no man named Doyle has ever set foot in here, well at least in a management capacity. The bar itself is fine as a sports bar, but as an Irish bar, it's a pale shadow.
Go for the TV screens - drink the beer during happy hour, and be careful on the stairs on the way down!

Pool table and chilled drinks and burger
The place is not crowded like lugas where to get your chance at the pool table you really need to wait .
Never crowded you can enjoy playing on the pool with your group of friends.
The burger is good served with fries. The fries are really done well.

Most underrated burger in Beijing
Yes, service can be hair-tearing slow; BUT their burger is one of the best tasting in the entire city. I ordered one and was blown away; the patty was perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and tasted like a real steak. The addition of the bacon really rounded out the craftsmanship of the burger. What a wonderful surprise! The second floor, with its pool table, dart boards, and foosball, is a great way to start off the weekend with your friends.

New Manager
I went here few days ago and there was this new manager.
The place was tidy and few customers not like before when we had a smart foreign manager.
The food was still good like before .I sat at the bar and the bartender was efficient and made good mix drinks.
I tried couple of cocktails. Everything was good.

good pizza and wine
Went today for a bottle of wine-they had a special of Pascule wine for 99 rmb. The white wine we had was crisp and refreshing and more than worth the price. Even gave us complimentary antipasta dish of fried balls of olive and potato which were really good

to Antimutd,
well well. Assumptions and racism. Cheap Foreigners?
I am incensed! (that means angry)
I am not from Ireland and im not one of Glenns 'best mate'.
the "cheap foreigners" are the ones who made that bar busy and spent rather alot of money.
To react in such an aggressive and racist manner suggests that whoever wrote this response is clearly not very intelligent and
showing their true colours.
Tell you what, how about everybody does stay away from this pub and then we will see who goes cheap.
Honestly I can only wish you good luck.
With your attitude, you will need it.
Drinks at Paddy O'Shea's tonight anybody?

Destroyed the place
Danger Doyles WAS one of my favorite bars in town. Great beer selection, great bar tenders and waitresses. Fantastic specials. An awesome roof for the summer.
Sigh...it's all gone.
What can be done? Prices are doubled, food is now crap, service is crap (the original DD's had the cutest waitresses in Beijing), specials are gone. Atmosphere is dead.
Does management really expect the regulars to return when you pull something like this?
Antimutd, as you are possibly one of the new owners or managers - are you trying to throw away all the hard work which was put into this place? Or do you just not know how to manage a pub. If its the former - more power to you. Customers will go elsewhere just as you plan. If its the latter - spend a little of the cash you are so busy bilking out of the paltry few customers that wander into your now empty bar (probably thinking it's still as fun as it once was) and hire someone who knows what they're doing.

If you are sports fan you would like this place.
Drinks are good, not expensive too, didnt try the eats.
Good feel bar,but they can look at improving the service.
Surely in my list when I visit Beijing next time.

Mango martini anyone?
The first thing that comes to mind is the friendly staff: all the waiters and waitresses are polite, friendly and eager to refill whatever beer or cocktail you are drinking. And man, are there options... Between the killer marguerita, perfect g&t, the delicious-yet-deadly mango martinis or the impressive beer selection, it's hard to narrow it down to just one choice. But then again, with daily happy hours, martini mondays and now the countdown to st patrick's, why bother?
If the munchies kick, order any of the yummy fresh pizzas. Anything goes from the classic marguerita to Beijing duck. None of that American bread like pizza, the crust is thin and the cheese is delicious.
Add to that a hilarious Monday quiz, a pool table, foosball, darts and live music on weekends... This place is bloody fantastic.

Rooftop in summer, nice pizzas, beer variety
The beer variety is huge.
In this heat time at Beijing, this is a nice place -open .
The food -the pizzas arent expensive and works fine for a light dinner with drinks.
There is a decent crowd beoause of the rooftop, and variety of beers.
Service can be messy, but one should keep remembering we are in china and hold patience.

Great potential but need to work big time on service
Went to this place three times... and had more mixed feelings than the reviewer who calls this the 'best bar' in beijing.
I liked the mixed use of multi-level space, the interesting pizza menu, the multiple beer choices... but the roofdeck was the major draw, at least for me. Sadly all three times I was there, strong winds made the deck pretty miserable and one occasion forced them to close off this area completely. It seems this might be a characteristic of the location, so if you are planning on a rooftop experience in this area you might be better off heading to Sanlitun village or the Tongli Studio places if there is any sign of wind.
Where the place currently falls down is service - not in attitude as they are generally friendly, but consistent inability to take orders and deliver. They are trying and might get it right over time, but 2 of the 3 nights I visited, my small group ended up leaving angry and hungry. The third night DD's was cavernously empty and we didn't have as bad of an experience as I describe below, although it did take 15 minutes to get a service person's attention.
The first night, DD's was hosting two large parties with BBQ's. If you were not attending one of these events, service was very sparse. Although we were able to get drinks after much lobbying of confused waitresses, food was impossible. We ordered the same starters 3 times and after 1 hour of waiting we gave up and went somewhere else for dinner.
On the next occasion, tried their Monday night free pizza deal. I was expecting a crowd and waiting time for that, but when I arrived the place was only about 20% full. It took more than 20 minutes before a serving person to finally show up on the roof. Another 15 minutes for the drink to arrive. Another 20 minutes to the next serving person... all of the 20 people on the roof agitated and complaining, which I suspect led to serving people not wanting to climb the numerous stairs to deal with the customers. Anyway, when I tried to order food, was told it would be at least an hour before anything would be ready. Maybe this was because they had one pizza oven for a place capable of seating a few hundred people (vs the Tree which has 10% of the seating)? Hmmm. So we again left, I again had to call people headed to DD's to go somewhere else... in other words general mafan because they couldn't get the basics of serving food and drinks right.
On a positive note, the manager really seemed to care about the customers and spent a lot of time running around trying to serve drinks and deal with people's various complaints. So maybe they will iron out the kinks... but in the meantime, if you are hungry or planning a night with a group, I'd suggest you head elsewhere... at the very least call ahead to see if there are events taking place which will overwhelm the small kitchen and number of service staff.

Best Bar in Beijing
![]()
Guest
Well it didn't disappoint. The rooftop is the best I've seen in Beijing. The food is good. Huge selection of beers from all over the world. Decent prices on everything. Plenty of space(ok, TONS of space). Finally, a really great bar in Beijing.
