Good environment, however not impressed by the pancakes

I agree with the first reviewer: this is a fine Chinese Entry-Exit Bureau and usually a pleasant experience if you are well informed and have your papers in order (that part is always tricky of course).

Best to visit with an agent that the officers there already know (ask your employer about it if they don't automatically set you up with their regular agency); it speeds up the process considerably, minimizes the risk of having to return because the documents are not complete, and in that case you really just need to be present and can make yourself comfortable on one of the beforementioned chairs.

Bring your own snack and coffee but please don't leave your pancakes lying around on the tables for the next person to toss, that is not cool. I always have to throw away somebody else's pancakes when I'm at the Entry-Exit Bureau.

Think about transportation back if you are there in the late afternoon; taxis are hard to catch already in the hours leading up to the early evening rush.

A government building is reviewable?

I guess I wasn't really aware that there was a review feature on The Beijinger until recently (I normally use the directory for an address and a map location which has proved to be reliable) so I'm not really taking this review seriously since reviewing it makes no difference and I've only been here a couple of times to get my visa taken care of.

Either way, it's a nice place to take a nap while you wait for your visa to be processed. There's restrooms and escalators and it's... a building. Nothing too special about it. The seats are almost comfortable and it's regularly crowded, but not by too much.

What can I say, it's the Entry and Exit Administration of the PSB. Very English friendly.
