There’s no rattling dice at the only cafe-salon-bar on Chaodou Hutong. Instead, Fu hosts poetry readings and arranges lectures on subjects of cultural interest. The salon’s design, with sofas, wicker seating, and cotton shades draping down from the ceiling, lends itself towards casual chats. Expect a thoughtful, educated clientele and art by the owner and his friends on the walls. Beer, coffee and tea from RMB 15.

Fu Cafe is opened by a friend that I knew for years, an artist of fine art, and an artist of life.
The simple furnitures in Fu Cafe are traditional Chinese style of the ideal hermit. Except just grab a drink with almost the lowest price in town, in here you could always meet up with interesting people, enjoy a photo exhibtion, experience a French interactive theater show, or just discuss about poems, belief and art with the patron.
When you walk by Fu cafe, the green plants will welcome you to cheer for the moment with their witness of the true love of art and life itself.
