Review of Hard Rock Cafe
Decided to finally try the food. The restaurant with messy with boxes everywhere. Looked like moving day. Like all Hard Rocks they are overpriced. I expected that but not a 15% Service Charge. I asked my waitress if it was for her. She laughed and said it was for the government. I asked to speak to the manage. And met the duty manager. He wasn't quite sure of the reason they charge it. He finally said it was because the restaurant had to pay the Chinese Government. I explained that I go to American restaurants here in Beijing and are not charged a service fee. So he was at a loss.
The food wasn't the best. They gave me a side of beans with my meal that was not fully cooked. Also a very small order of fries that were good but very small portion.
Well I got the Hard Rock out of the way as one of the places to visit in Beijing!!

Review of Hard Rock Cafe
The atmosphere is nice and the service prompt and the burgers are as good as they say. However I felt that they just skimped on the little things. There weren't that many fries on the enormous plate the burger came served on and only; 1 piece of lettuce, 1 slice of tomato, 2 slices of onion and 2 slices of gherkin. Come on Hard Rock Cafe for a 125RMB a burger you can do better than that - not really a side salad more a rabbits left overs. The chocolate sundae I ordered was all of 1 blob of ice cream, not really worth the 48RMB.
We spent just over 500RMB for two people and I wasn't that impressed. However I guess it depends on what you want, there was a live band, they did play requests, the atmosphere is definitely unique. Also I live and work in beijing so perhaps my budget is not what a visiting tourist's would be. Ultimately it's the Hard Rock Cafe not a local noodle shop so you can;t expect noodle shop prices.
I'm gonna list prices as I looked on the net before and couldn't really find any indication so for anyone who wants to know and at the time of writing; around 200RMB+ for a steak, most mains are between 100-200RMB, drinks cost a good deal, cocktails are around 100RMB and you'll pay 32RMB for a soda, deserts are around 50RMB.

Well the burgers were good. Enough french fries and crispy enough. Just right salted.
The cocktails were good.Service staff were also there when needed.
The band plays to their heart and they try to please you.
Its good to give them your favourite song to play and they do it without too much of a hassle.

Review of Hard Rock Cafe
The Hard Rock Cafe Beijing is very similar to any Hard Rock Cafe anywhere in the world. You should go if you are a fan of Rock and Roll nostalgia and decent American food. If you are a fan of Hard Rock cafes, it is another one to visit on your list to go to. It is worth going to once in anycase.
My wife and I both had burgers, where were good tasting burgers. Nice and juicy and thick. The best part about the food (and one reason to go to the Hard Rock Cafe) was the hot fudge brownie sundae. We think that if we were to go back, it would be just for that.
The service was ok, but our waiter snubbed us a bit when we did not order drinks (we are non drinkers).
The other thing to beware of is the 15% surcharge added onto your bill. If you are on a tight budget, it is not the place to go to.

Review of Hard Rock Cafe
I'm not a big fan of the place but if you've never been to a Hard Rock cafe, you should give it a try.
Be ready for decent American fare, high prices, and a decnt drink menu.
Not a place I enjoy to go myself but somewhere I would take a friend or visitor to just to give them the experience.

Review of Hard Rock Cafe
The food was lousy: I ordered a full rack of ribs and got only half rack.... The Fajita chicken was dry and almost uneatable. And the desserts: skip it as well.
And the price: you could have 6 good meals in a local restaurant with much better food.

I liked this place for the simplicity of service,good quality burger,and surely the drinks !
The bloody mary , the tequillas ,everything is just right .
Also the decor-the guitars ,the enviornment makes u feel ask this question -are u in Beijing?
We will be back!
