Prices are right, energy is right. I was shocked when I heard decent hip-hop pumping out of the 3.3 side of the road, just across from Poachers, and then I saw the huge sign.
The downstairs venue offers drinks at rates equivalent to all the nearby haunts, Shooters, Butterfly, Kai, Smugglers, Pink... but it's got a lot more going on, including an actually reasonably-sized dance floor. And although Kai will always be famous for its dance-pole, I've seen enough people take over the entire dance area by using it enough times to appreciate that Red Bar's pole users have ample room to... well, be ridiculous I guess, and inadvertently add to the entertainment value of a night.
The place is also lined by cozy couches, somewhat in a White Rabbit configuration. There is also a rear area, which is quieter and more suitable for a date.
