Another of Liulichang Culture Street’s more famous stores, the Rong Bao Zhai dates back to the reign of the Kangxi emperor (AD 1672) and sells paper, brush, ink, an excellent selection of paintings and calligraphy. The store is particularly famous for its “wood board water marking” – a special kind of manual print reproduction technique.
