I used to walk past the Sex and Da city bar in Houhai and wonder what kind of experience i would have in there. Most people told me it wasnt worth the money, since they girls dancing were either plain or bad dancers and that the drinks were overpriced and boring.

However when i was in solana last weekend with my girlfriend we were walking around looking for somewhere outside with a nice view to get a drink. Granted the drinks were overpriced (70rmb for a Mojito) but quite original (my girlfriend got a Baileys with Icecream and Kahlua for 75rmb) we had a great view, the service was nice and it wasnt too crowed. I also hear that the dancers at the Solana branch are better, the decor more modern although it still is a rather creepy crowd who goes there to watch the dancers.
