The Den. Dirty draught beer, sells fake cigarettes and needs a lick of paint but I like it. Never go to the Den sober, it is a much greater experience drunk at the end of the night. If you arrive drunk, drink bottled lager and bring plenty of your own cigarettes then you will have great fun but be warned before you know it the sun has come up and you will spend all day hungover.
The pizzas are also quite good.

I would like to invite DEN management to respect Chinese laws and to train their staffs a bit.

Last night was just amazing!
From time to time, I went to the DEN during the last 4 years. Usually I was happy to see match on TV or to drink several glasses with friends there. But in fact, you have to know that if you want to share good time to the DEN:
- you have to paid 10Y for a glass of BaiKaiShui (water from tap) or another drink prior to eat. Else you CANNOT eat!;
- You CANNOT use credit/debit card payment by night;
- you CANNOT get receipt of your payment;
- you have to paid in cash before get served;

The quality of service is very low, and the "Manager" [Mr. Johnny] does not manage anything. Also he take freedom to argue with clients and make them loose face.

If this restaurant has "C" quality label, I don't know how long it will continue?!
As a Beijinger living at night, I sincerly wish that DEN renew as it was before. Some adjustment would make a real change. It is absurd to drop these place down...

Whether superbowl or soccer they have all on their screens. And I like the chirpy waiters. Guess they are paid some incentive to get the second beer up quickly .
The toilets are clean and the manager has a hawk`s eye on customers.
When we have to watch something on sports love this place.
There are new people you can meet here as there is always some new crowd.
This is a place to drink and may be have some light snacks ,its not a dinner restaurant please.

Yes, they did not renovate downstairs for ten years or longer. And yes, the food is not haute cuisine.

Overall:

- The drinks are very well priced, happy hour till 10 and if you know them you get a 20% diswcount before or after happy hour.
- Somebody mentioned small Martini, not sure about it since I do not like it. My girl friends often orders it and likes it. Anyway, remember the low price.
- Going there since 10 years and never had watered down drinks. Sometimes in sommer the beer has no bubbles. They have always changed it without discussion.
- Service is okay, get's a bit slow during peak hours. But the girls are always friendly if you treat them fairly.
- I an few cases they messed up the bill, but both over- und undercharged a couple of RMB. Hence I guess it's lack of management. So better pay each round.
- Can always meet new people. Customers are mixed.
- Number of prostitutes has gone down dramatically and anyway if they don't bother me, why complain?

You get more than you pay for but of course in can not compete with fancy bars

I'd like to meet the owner of The Den just once. The man is a decorating genius: he captured the very essence of what a dodgy hole for sweaty overweight men to pick up prostitutes should look like. The dirty floor, bad lighting, uncomfortable chairs, ripped furniture and the mandatory coked up prostitutes in the restroom.

And just in case you don't want cheap company for the evening, you can still order one of their watered-down margueritas and pretend to be a giant: smallest glass ever.

A good place to relax myself, not expensive at all. I always enjoy their pizzas during the happy hours. That's all.

Came here for the daily happy hour till 10. My martini tasted like vermouth and piss while my buddy's bloody mary tasted like spit. I know this is a sports bar but don't people drink cocktails with their Grand Prix matches? Not coming back

I know many (mainly female) foreigners would rather drop dead than set foot in the den, but with the citys longest happy hour and 24 hour service, its brilliant for those of us who wants to watch the European football without too many wudaokou kids getting plastered or loudly playing darts. If you can see the repeated passes from the mongolian prostitutes ("I dont believe you are here at 3.00am to watch Aalborg from Denmark play Europa League! Come on, you good bargainer, give me your best price) as a hilarious way to kill time during half time, I really cant recommend a better place for football. Another bonus is that they are very willing to put on live streaming from the internet, if you want to watch some obscure game that isnt being shown on any of its many sattelite channels.

I believe The Den is the best hang-out joint in san li tun with great food,the best alcohol in town ,an excellent internet connection and where all the coolest people hang-out and unwind whilst watching some great sports without having to strain their pocket muscle!now what could beat that :* !

My favourite place to watch sports after office or anytime . The place is open 24 hours.

Amongst the expats ,there is hardly anyone who doesnt know this place .
The best part of this place is there is a moving crowd here so you
always have a chance to meet up some new bright and new to beijing expats or travellors for a hello.

You could settle down in one of the first rows if you are wathhing a serious sport or simply hang around behind.
The eats are taste fine are priced fine and the waiters too are cheerful.
The have best of beers priced reasonable.
