The World of Suzie Wong Club 苏西黄
Suzie Wong's is part 1930s Shanghai opium den and part postmodern lounge. Show up early to get one of the Ming Dynasty beds before the ravenous crowds arrive. Ample mixed drinks (featuring daiquiris and the "pineapplicious" lights of havana) are RMB 35, and beers go from RMB 30 up. Voted the "Best Place to Find a Date," "Best for People Watching" and "Best After-Hours Club" in our 2007 Reader Bars and Clubs Awards.

One of the classiest clubs in Beijing
With several floors featuring different kinds of music and bar layouts, Suzie Wong’s is definitely in the upper echelon of Beijing clubs. Although dance floor space is relatively limited, Suzie’s interior setup lends itself to flexibility in terms of what you can do. Want to hold a party? Grab a private room. Want to chat up some others (while being actually able to hear them over music)? Hang out at the first or second floor bar. Even though it’s often labeled as being pretentious, Suzie Wong’s atmosphere is definitely much more preferable compared to other popular clubs in Beijing, such as Mix or Vics.

Classiest club in BJ
Suzie Wong's is extremely classy. That gets some people--they say the crowd is too old and stuff like that--but even my college friends and I had a great time there. One thing that distinguishes this club from others is that's truly, as the name suggests, a "world." There is a bar lounge, two dance floors/bars, and a rooftop in which you have to keep quiet so as to preserve the chill atmosphere. Despite the hefty (100 kuai) cover, the drinks are the same prices you'd pay at other clubs (I paid 45 for a mojito). Another thing that the club claims to have, and has in abundance, is beautiful girls. I don't know if they pay them to go there or if they just go to hang out, but it's simply a fact that Suzie Wongs has beautiful people. If you go, be aware that the dress is a little more formal than most clubs. They don't allow flip flops (though I got in with them on) and people are generally dressed better than I've seen at most Beijing clubs.

Fun Club with Beautiful Girls
Suzie Wong's just reopened and had a great grand opening party. The cocktail hour before was a lot of fun but after the free drinks ended it got expensive very quickly. The place was packed with beautiful girls but it seemed like they were all looking for the rich old guys. I enjoyed it very much.

suzie...
Ahh the world of suzie wong, so wrong yet so right. The crowd is not the best, lots of ladies of the night hanging around the bar with gross, really really gross old guys. But they do have a surplus of models, a very consistent bunch but i mean if you have a free open bar what else matters? You would be there all the time too. I know most hate this place but I happen to really like it so I'm giving it 4 stars. Really nice staff and management although I've seen them treat guys differently. Great music, the house music on the bottom floor is a lot better than the upstairs which is I think hiphop or commercial stuff most of the time, their rooftop is great for taking a break after busting out some dancing.

a nice and cosy place
i think one of my favorite clubs in beijing, international music, international customers or open minded chinese, on the week end the nicest girls are going out there, drinks not so expensive, the club got two different rooms and a nice place to stand outside on the roof, good place to go dancing between midnight and 3am even if there is not a lot of space, its looks like more cosy and friendly place than biggest one...

Sure bet
Even though it looks like there is less crowd now than before, at least it's easy to get a table and music still rocks big time.... sure bet to spend a good time and waiting for the after hour somewhere else !

My favorite club in Beijing

The music style is more international and interesting than the Gongti area where all the clubs play the same hip-hop things.
More fancy and fresh house music, no smoke machine and no dancers on the cubes.
The service is good, they are kind and speak english. One of my favorite clubs in Beijing.

come here to people watch
OK music but OVERLY inflated crowd. From my recollection, I think I spent most of my night people watching the crowd at the club. Prior to my visit, I was skeptical when I was told that Suzie's had a 'models table' strictly reserved for the models who frequent the club. Not sure if its because the club wants to exhibit "beautiful" people, or because SW is a second home to these models. but lo and behold! there they were...putting on quite a show for everyone. Seriously...who knew watching a bunch of "models" commit acts of drunken debauchery could be SO entertaining.

Suzie Wong, still popular but staff turned into greedy thiefs
I have been occasionally visiting there for years and it have been expensive but good quality dance bar. I was sad to notice that now their staff started to run their own little business. They ask deposit for the bag you leave for storage, for the pants they borrow if you are wearing only shorts when coming in etc.
I recently visited there and paid deposit for a backpack and borrowed pants. And when going out they did give only one deposit back. I talked with the door staff for a while, it did not help, I asked to see their manager. Their manager Jacky Kong came and he also lied to my face. He said they never ask deposit for the bags left in the cloak room. It looked like he is not in control of his staff. Anyway I lost my deposit. Sad to see this good old place is now run by arrogant disgusting little criminals at their door.

I have been once or two
Depending on what you like
If you like dancing and let go with the bang bang music, perfect
Not for quiet people though, no slow, romantic music, no hugging time, only swing and shake.

Meant for the upscale with deep pockets
The place is huge with couple of hours and good decor.
They are too business like.Even on a Weekday at 630 pm when there is no one we asked them if we could use the sofas as we were 4 of us, they flatly refused and said unless we committ to some big amount of money(500 rmb?)then can we use?
I have been here before but didnt get this treatment before.
The Manager there was a nice guy.
The good part however was the music.Just right loud and nice singers.
The drinks quality was good though the prices are on higher side.
The best part was the quality of popcorns.
We ordered extra and tucked it on the way towards our dinner destination. The salty ones were of the just right taste and enough soft and fluffy.
You could go there only if you want to impress someone.
For good music there are many other places with similar decor and service but prices much below where the drinkers can really drink without watching the wallet.
However a nice ,likable place for the quality of drinks , food and some of the waiters are quite nice.
