Twilight 暮光
The duo behind this impressive cocktail and whiskey bar first opened the underrated er. They’re also among the partners at Apothecary. Although Twilight lacks the favorable Sanlitun address, it is wrought from the same creativity and craftsmanship. Spirits are infused with fruit, ginger and chillis. There are house cocktails and twists on classics: a Bloody Mary includes tomato-and-chilli-infused vodka, with salt, pepper and crisp flecks of bacon sprinkled around the rim of the glass (RMB 60). The finer whiskeys include Lagavulin and Ardbeg. Pizza, pasta and salads are available at lunch (sets from RMB 39) and dinner.

Favorite Bar in Beijing
Twilight is by far my favorite bar in Beijing. I love that it's away from all the madness of Sanlitun, and going there makes me feel totally relaxed. The service is great and I can have a good chat with the bartenders every time I'm there. The drinks are amazing, a little pricey, but definitely worth it. I have tried a lot of drinks there and have been very happy with all of them.

Better drinks and better management
Maybe because I work at the hospitality industry, I am very strict to the service and the quality.
Twilight is a better place than Apo. None of that "No standing" policy. Creative and friendly bartender. They will try their best to make a drink that you like, even though is not on the menu.
I feel comfortable there, and I will go back there quite often, because of the quality and the service. You feel like you are respected.

great quality and consistently amazing cocktails.
There are bars and there are bars... not all were created equal and Twilight differentiates itself from the masses through great quality and amazingly consistent precision cocktails day in day out.
I'm quite comfortable with the location in Jianwai SOHO, a 10mn walk from my office. It's a breath of fresh air in what is generally a bar-free zone!
I've sampled a few of their offerings since i started visiting them a few months ago and most of them have been well made! My personal favorites are their Dark & Stormy along with the Saigon Mistress and i've had both multiple times. What makes it great is that each one of those times, the bartender managed to put out the exact cocktail with little to no difference! Sure, they do take a bit of time but I am willing to wait for a few minutes in order to get what i asked for.
The food itself is quite decent and an acceptable fare for those that forget to have dinner beforehand! I've had the fries and the Margarita Pizza a few times and can't complain about either.
The price, for the quality, is more than correct! Quite a few establishments in town are charging more for less which makes Twilight even more special in my book. It's almost the perfect bar!

Great cocktails and conveinent if you live in Guo Mao
I really enjoy this place, it seems out of the way because it is in Jianwai SOHO, but if you live or work in Guo Mao it is a great way to kill a happy hour and let rush hour dissipate.
The happy hour special makes the drinks reasonably priced. They take 20 Kuai off the normal price. Not a huge discount, but for a good well made cocktail it is very reasonable.
They have a wide selection of craft cocktails that has something to fit any drinker's pallet.
My personal favorites are their regular Manhatten, the Saigon Mistress, the Martinez, and the apricot infused Old Fashioned.

Cool place to sit at the bar and have a drink. It's run by two of the guys behind Apothecary, but without the crowds and controversy over waiting for tables, service charges and whether you're allowed to stand up. Since not so many people know about Twilight yet, the focus here is still on the quality of the drinks.
The cocktails look a bit small - especially given the RMB 50-70 price tages - but one sip and you know there's a good dose of alcohol in each. The menu is cool, good selection balancing classics and more unusual cocktails featuring egg whites, fruit juice and the like. There's also a decent selection of whiskey and whiskey based mixed drinks.
Unlike most Japanese bars, Twilight has a menu of pizzas, salads and so on. The English Breakfast pizza sounds terrible, but is actually pretty good. Good fries also, although they lose points for being probably the oiliest in Beijing. Handy if you work in Jianwai Soho or nearby and fancy a pizza for lunch.
There aren't many bars in the CBD that you'd make a point of going to for an after-work drink. Twilight is one of those, and one of the best new bars in Beijing I've been to recently. I'd like to see more customers there, as the atmosphere can be a little flat, but it's the kind of bar where you have mixed feelings - you feel it deserves more of a crowd and yet you kind of want it to remain your secret. If you like Apothecary's drinks but can't be doing with the fuss and the crowds, try Twilight.

Nice little stylish hole-in-the-wall
This little spot tucked into a corner of Jianwai Soho right between the Jenny Lou's and the Starbucks is easy to miss, but don't. A Japanese-style bar with a wide variety of whiskey choices, some innovative mixed drinks and a few gourmet style snacks and pizzas, Twilight is a nice choice for a stop-by in the generally bar-free zone of Jianwai Soho. Heading up the narrow stairway and entering into its warm confines is very reminiscent of that tiny-but-not-claustrophobic space-maximizing design that one often sees in places like Hong Kong and Tokyo.

Splendid pizza
Had lunch here and tried the English breakfast pizza - sausage, bacon, egg, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes. Was knocked-out by the base: delicious, hand-stretched dough, nicely cooked, and a good balance of toppings considering the heavy ingredients. For RMB 49 you get a soup (mushroom on my visit, way too salty), a very nice little dressed salad and a drink (I think). As a bonus, the waitress bought us ice-cream with figs on the house. Great deal for the price, and one of the best pizzas I've had in BJ.

Great cocktails & chips!
Had some fantastic cocktails here the other night.
A well made classic Delicious Sour (don't see that on many menus) and a great twist on the Manhattan. Well executed drinks, nice surroundings (once you've found it in the maze of Jianwai SOHO) and good service.
Slightly eclectic food menu, with pizza, Japanese-style chicken bits and apple-crisps, but the chips (fries to those of a North American persuasion) were fantastic.
Prices 50-65RMB for cocktails, so not cheap, but the spirits were all good with some truly unusual (for Beijing) things behind the bar.
