Cafe de la Poste

Art posters from Montmartre decorate the walls but it's the simple menu of meat and potatoes, the très casual atmosphere and the attentive staff that really attracts Beijing's French community. They have a bilingual menu but don't accept cards.

Hadn't been to this place in a while but plan to go back more often in the future after having a great 'Le Tocard' steak for 88 kuai on Sat night. Also enjoyed sharing a bottle of the decent house red - also 88 kuai. Call to book as gets pretty busy. Also, during the summer, it's always nice to start the meal with a cool glass of pastis - 8 kuai.
