Known for being China’s foremost Bach interpreter, world-renowned Sheng Yuan first made his name with Chopin. This month Sheng uses pictures, recordings and demonstrations to discuss the development of the piano during Chopin’s career, and how this new technology changed the sound, the feel and the interpretation of the master’s works.
