Robert Rauschenberg (1995-2008) was an accomplished printmaker who loved experimenting with media. His iconic collages were a result of his experimentation with mediums such as Plexiglas, cardboard, textiles, hand-made paper, organic and synthetic materials.

Throughout his career, he became interested in performance, photography, conceptual art and technology. Rauschenberg was an artist who always encompassed a spirit of invention and a curiosity that helped him become successful. The Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (UCCA) presents "Rauschenberg in China" from 12 June to 21 August 2016. The exhibition's center feature is "The 1/4 Mile or 2 Furlong Piece" that stretches 305 meters long.
