You inevitably heard about Sundae once in your life. American influence and famous fast food chains (guess who I am referring to) have encouraged this expansion, which is in a way absolutely not for displease us.

But where does the sundae come from ? Made in the 1890’s, some localities like Plainfield, New Orleans, Cleveland or New York City have claimed to be the birthplace of Sundae but let’s them fight each other for this invention. This is definitely an American heritage anyway!

The original recipe is all about vanilla ice cream topped with sauce or syrup, whipped cream and surmounted by a maraschino cherry. It doesn’t make you dream ? Me neither.
