The long Beijing winter has finally come to an end and spring is here! So this month's Vegan Outreach Event will be an outdoor lunch at Palms L.A. Kitchen and Bar's Liangmaqiao location. They have agreed to open on a Sunday for this special one-off occasion.

(The event will be moved inside in case of poor air quality or rain).

Our Mission:

The goal of the Vegan Outreach dinners is to help western restaurants in Beijing become more vegan-friendly, as well as provide a familiar venue that vegans & vegetarians can invite their non-veggie friends to show them how easy and accessible switching to a plant-based diet can be. Afterwards, the restaurant will update its menu with new items and labels so that plant-based ordering in the future will be easy for all!

We're a group of locals and expats who are as passionate about eating as we are about animals and the environment. We know that making healthy choices isn't always a simple thing in Beijing, especially if you're a foreigner. We offer advice and resources that people can use to empower themselves to make a positive impact every day, as well as organize events to help you connect with like-minded people across the country. Whether it's asking the jian bing vendor to hold the egg, adopting a rescue dog instead of buying from a breeder or attending one of our Outreach, Discovery or potluck dinners, there are lots of small, easy steps that anybody can take to make a real difference and feel great doing it!
