Photographer Stefanie Schweiger’s book Chickens Are Not Naked came about as the German artist shadowed nine local Beijing artists, giving her the opportunity to create unique and intimate portraits of other artists at work. Her new book features musicians, painters and poets at work. An event to celebrate its launch will be held at the Goethe Institute with an exhibition of photography by Schweiger, video by featured artist Li Binyuan, and live music by Liu DongHong of Shazi, who was also featured in the book.
